ATHLIX SMS Consent

How users opt in to receive optional transactional SMS notifications from ATHLIX Technologies LLC.

SMS notifications are optional

ATHLIX Technologies LLC uses email as the default communication channel for account and academy-related notifications. SMS notifications are optional and are only sent when a valid mobile phone number is provided and SMS consent is explicitly confirmed.

A user, parent/guardian, academy administrator, or authorized account holder can complete the form and use ATHLIX without enabling SMS notifications.

Types of messages users may receive

Users who opt in may receive transactional and account-related SMS notifications, including:

  • Registration confirmations
  • Tryout updates
  • Parent/guardian account notifications
  • Payment reminders
  • Waiver reminders
  • Schedule updates
  • Academy updates
  • Support-related notifications

How users provide SMS consent

Users, parents/guardians, academy administrators, or authorized account holders provide SMS consent by entering a mobile phone number and selecting an optional, unchecked SMS consent checkbox during ATHLIX registration, tryout registration, parent/guardian setup, athlete creation, or academy onboarding workflows.

In academy-admin workflows, the administrator must confirm that the parent/guardian authorized receiving transactional SMS notifications before SMS can be enabled for that phone number.

The checkbox is not pre-selected. If the checkbox is not selected, ATHLIX does not send SMS messages to that phone number.

The checkbox is unchecked by default, as shown above and in the screenshots below. Users must actively select it to provide consent.

Mobile app: The email field appears before the phone field. SMS consent appears below the phone field and is unchecked by default. The user can continue without enabling SMS.

Web platform: The parent/guardian email field appears first as the default communication method. The phone field is optional. When a phone number is entered, the SMS consent checkbox appears below the phone field and is unchecked by default.

Consent records

When SMS consent is provided, ATHLIX stores a record of the consent, including consent status, timestamp, consent source, phone number, consent language, the administrator or user who recorded the consent, and the consent disclosure version shown at the time of opt-in.

If SMS consent is not provided or is later withdrawn, ATHLIX does not send SMS messages to that phone number.

Opt-out and help instructions

Users can opt out of SMS notifications at any time by replying STOP.

Users can receive help by replying HELP.

Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.

Mobile data and SMS consent privacy

ATHLIX does not sell, rent, share, or disclose mobile phone numbers or SMS consent information with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.

Mobile phone numbers and SMS consent information are used only for ATHLIX-related transactional, operational, support, and account communications.
